Although it’s not talked about much among colleagues, many private practices end up closing their doors just a few years after opening.  This drastic step usually happens after watching revenue take a nosedive for months while still paying their staff (and having nothing left to pay themselves) and covering insurance costs with their LOC until they collapse under their bills (and stress!).

See, there are many resources available for cosmetic surgeons when they are in the “dreamer” stage of starting up their private practice, but there is very little information about how to actually get patients in the door consistently once you have an entire team relying you on for their next paycheck (not to mention the massive investment required for equipment and tools).
